Mistakes happen — someone entered the wrong number of hours, logged time on the wrong job, or forgot to log at all. Here's how to find and fix them.
Viewing hours entries on a work order
Open any work order and scroll through the activity log. Hours entries appear inline alongside notes and updates — each one shows the team member's name, the number of hours logged, and when the entry was posted.
Editing an entry
Hours are edited from the Labor Hours tab inside the Edit Work Order modal — not from the activity log. Open the edit modal, go to Labor Hours, tap the History button next to the team member's name to expand their entry list, update the value inline, and tap Save.
Deleting an entry
To remove a logged note or update from the activity log, tap the entry to open it and select Delete. There is no status-based restriction on editing or removing entries — corrections can be made at any time.
Who can edit what
- Admins — can view and edit any team member's hour history on any work order
- Managers — can view and edit hour entries on work orders they have access to
- Employees — can edit their own hour entries on work orders they are assigned to
If a crew member regularly forgets to log their hours on the day of the job, build a quick end-of-day check into your routine — it's much easier to recall hours accurately the same day than days later.
