Tags let you organize work orders in ways that make sense for your business — by trade, by client, by region, or any other dimension you track.
Creating a tag
Tags are created in the Admin Portal and are only manageable by admins. Once created, they are available company-wide for use on any work order.
- 1Go to the Admin Portal
- 2Navigate to the Tags section
- 3Enter a tag name and choose a color
- 4Save — the tag is now available on all work orders
Applying tags to a work order
When creating or editing a work order, scroll to the Tags field. Tap any tag to toggle it on or off. Multiple tags can be applied to a single work order.
Ways to use tags
- Trade type — Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC, General — for filtering by crew specialty
- Client name — tag all work orders under a large client for easy reporting
- Region or neighborhood — useful when crew is split across different areas
- Job source — Referral, Repeat Client, New Client — to track where work comes from
- Priority — Urgent, Standard, Warranty — to surface time-sensitive jobs quickly
Filtering by tag
On the Jobs list and Manager Dashboard, use the tag filter to show only work orders with a specific tag. This is useful when you want to pull up all jobs for a particular trade or client at once.
Keep tag names consistent — 'HVAC' and 'hvac' are treated as different tags. Only admins can create or delete tags.
